About
Maker Made started as a passion for serving the maker community and that remains our first priority. We aim to provide the highest quality tools at affordable prices. This mission extends to maker education, to encourage imagination and innovation in digital manufacturing. We aim to award a deserving applicant with tools to help turn their maker-education goals into reality.
Eligibility
Any school, nonprofit, or educational organization in the United States or its territories.
Priorities
Computer-aided design (CAD), 3D printing, CNC milling, and laser engraving offer amazing opportunities for students to learn important life skills and make an impact in their communities. We’ve witnessed these impacts many times—from creating custom orthotics for a classmate, to saving a museum thousands of dollars by reverse engineering an obsolete part for pennies. We want to push the envelope further, to fuel leading-edge innovations in project-based learning. It’s our goal to engage and propel students, teachers, schools, and individuals forward to help them make the world a better place—one project at a time.
We created this grant to help get the ball rolling for schools and organizations who need help acquiring maker tools. We hope the application process will stimulate discussion and motivate students, teachers, and makers to brainstorm together on the potential uses in their different environments. For the grant winner, we hope having an advanced, easy to use technology will light the spark of digital manufacturing!
