Makerhub LLC d/b/a MakerMade ("MakerMade," "we," "us," "our")

This Privacy Policy describes how MakerMade collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit, shop, or interact with:

Together, these are referred to as the "Sites."

By using the Sites, you agree to the practices described below.

MakerMade sells CNC equipment, 3D Printers, accessories, digital products, and operates a digital marketplace.

This unified Privacy Policy applies across all MakerMade online properties.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information directly from you, automatically through your device, and from Shopify and other service providers that help us operate our business.

2.1 Information You Provide

When making a purchase or creating an account:

• Name
• Billing and shipping address
• Email address
• Phone number
• Payment information (processed by Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal, Affirm, Amazon Pay — we do not store full card numbers)
• Order details and purchase history
• Account login information (optional)

When contacting customer support (through support.makermade.com or via info@makermade.com / support@makermade.com):

• Email address and name
• Support ticket details
• Attachments (photos, videos, logs, G-code files, screenshots)
• Warranty information (serial numbers, product details)
• Optional Freshdesk portal login information

Manual/Offline Orders via QuickBooks:

• Name
• Address
• Email
• Phone
• Invoice and order information

(QuickBooks does not sync with Shopify.)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Sites, Shopify and our analytics tools automatically collect:

• IP address (GA4 uses anonymization where required)
• Browser type, device type, operating system
• Cookies and tracking technologies
• Pages viewed, referring URLs, search behavior
• Timestamp and session information
• Cart and checkout activity (including abandoned cart events)

This occurs through Shopify's logging systems, cookies, pixels, tags, and scripts.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from:

• Shipping carriers (delivery status)
• Shopify apps (Stamped Reviews, Webkul Marketplace, UpPromote, BeProfit, Porter Metrics, Digital Downloads, etc.)
• Advertising and analytics platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok)
• Marketplace vendors (product-level details only)

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 Order Processing and Delivery

• Process payments
• Fulfill and ship orders via U.S. 3PL
• Fulfill international orders via our Sourcery team (limited order data only)
• Send order and shipping confirmations
• Deliver digital products
• Fraud prevention and risk screening

3.2 Customer Support

Through support.makermade.com (Freshdesk):

• Respond to questions
• Troubleshoot product issues
• View shared files and attachments needed for support
• Process warranties
• Maintain support ticket history

Support agents may reference Shopify order data to assist you.

3.3 Marketing and Communications

• Email marketing (Klaviyo, Shopify Email)
• SMS marketing (opt-in only)
• Abandoned cart reminders
• Post-purchase review requests (Stamped Reviews)
• Personalized recommendations (Klaviyo segmentation)
• Advertising and retargeting (Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads)

4. How Shopify Processes Your Information

MakerMade uses Shopify to power our store, checkout, analytics, and many background services. You can read Shopify's privacy practices here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy

4.1 Device Information

Collected through cookies, log files, pixels, tags, and web beacons. Used for loading the site correctly, analytics and performance, and security and fraud prevention.

4.2 Order Information

Collected at checkout: name, address, email, phone, payment method and partial payment information, cart contents, IP address and browser data, and order value and transaction metadata. Used to process payments, fulfill orders, authenticate customers, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

4.3 Automated Decision-Making (Fraud Screening)

Shopify uses limited automated systems for fraud prevention, including:

• Temporary denylist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions
• Temporary denylist of credit cards linked to denylisted IPs

These systems do not have legal or significant effects on you (aside from temporarily blocking suspicious transactions).

4.4 International Data Transfers (GDPR)

For EU/UK visitors: your personal information will be initially processed in Ireland and then transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States, for storage and further processing. 5. How We Share Information

We share data only with service providers who help operate the business:

• Shopify — store platform and checkout
• ShipStation and carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL)
• Freshdesk — support portal
• Klaviyo / Shopify Email — email and SMS
• Stamped Reviews — review collection
• Webkul Marketplace — digital product vendor management
• BeProfit / Porter Metrics — analytics
• Printful — if applicable
• UpPromote — affiliate tracking
  

These partners receive only the information needed to perform their functions.

6. Marketplace Vendor Disclosures

Vendors on marketplace.makermade.com receive only:

• Product purchased
• Quantity
• SKU
• Commission/payout data

They do not receive your name, address, email, phone number, or IP address. They do not drop-ship and do not access customer personal data.

7. International Fulfillment 

Limited order information is provided to our Sourcery team when preparing international shipments:

• Name
• Shipping address
• Phone number
• Email if required by carriers
• Items purchased (not prices)

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, authentication, cart retention, analytics (GA4, Shopify), advertising and retargeting (Meta, TikTok, Google), and support portal functionality (Freshdesk).

9. Behavioural Advertising

We may use your information for targeted ads via Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, Google Ads, Klaviyo (audience segmentation), and Shopify advertising integrations.

You can opt out via our CCPA/CPRA Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or through browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC).

10. Do Not Track

Because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to Do Not Track (DNT) signals, we do not alter our practices when such signals are detected.

11. Your Rights

Requests apply only to regions where GDPR rights are required by law.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as necessary for orders, support and warranty, legal and tax obligations, fraud prevention, and business operations.

13. Data Security

We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards. Data is protected through Shopify, Freshdesk, Klaviyo, and associated providers.

14. Children's Privacy

The Sites are not intended for individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's information.

15. Third-Party Links

The Sites may contain external links. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
